Still Life Instills Action

Paul Sokal’s photographs at PDNB Gallery are either a nostalgic reminder of a personal and more intimate era of play and personal communication, or a look at a great unknown of the past depending on when you were born. What is known is when strong photographs are in a delightful space, even still lifes prompt action. This Design District gallery is too small to say the crowd went wild, but one could say the work animated those in attendance.
