Karen Foster

Dallas is a city of creators, contributors and connectors. Karen Foster is all three of these, but what I really admire is her ability to gracefully connect people that are able to contribute even more because of her introduction. Here we are pictured in front of Cafe Pacific after lunch and a great exchange of information and insights.

Michael Lee, Design Genius

Michael Lee is a designer and creative genius. After closing on one of the 100 homes he has redesigned or renovated, he was presented with four dozen roses on the even of the 4th of July. These roses and flowers were put together to look like fireworks. Upon receiving them, he said this looks more like fireworks than an arrangement – “I will have to do something about this.” The next day, he sent two images – one a statue that appears to be recoiling at the sight of these flowers. The other photograph was when these flowers were properly arranged. These are fabulous before and after photographs showing the creative instincts of Michael Lee.

Snow Falls on Swiss Avenue

Walking down Swiss Avenue as the snow falls, reminiscing about some of the Swiss Avenue homes that I have sold over the years.

Cafe Pacific at Highland Park Village

Café Pacific is a time-honored restaurant in Highland Park Village owned by Highland Park homeowner Jack Knox, who has a gorgeous, architect-designed historic home located on Armstrong Parkway. Café Pacific is imbued with civility, fun and unparalleled service and food—all qualities of Highland Park. Highland Park Village, owned by Highland Park homeowners, has restaurants for all occasions and moods, made even better by the patronage of Highland Park residents. And what better atmosphere for Christmas than several hundred thousand twinkling white lights installed at Highland Park Village for the holidays, with shops that would be the envy of Madison Avenue or Rodeo Drive.
